Ignite Your Leadership

Ignite Your Leadership incorporates a best practice, engaging and blended learning approach with the option of in-person (2 full days) or virtual participation (4 half days). A learning journey experienced over 4 months, this program provides supervisors across Healthscope with an exciting opportunity to expand their understanding of themselves as leader so that they can heighten their impact at work, and build skills to bring out the best in others to enhance engagement.

Entry requirements

This program has been developed to support supervisors, both those who work directly or indirectly in care. Supervisors are defined as having employees report to them on a shift by shift basis (e.g. ANUM, AMUM, Team Leader, Level 2’s, Clinical Nurse Specialists with supervisor duties, Allied Health team leaders, Support Services Team Leaders, House Supervisors, Floor Manager, Mental Health Intake Nurses). 

In order to apply for the program, you must meet the below criteria:

• You are a supervisor with employees reporting to you on a shift-by-shift basis
• You are willing and able to fulfil all program requirements across a 3-4 month period and are committing to 100% attendance to the formal aspects of the program (all workshops, participant briefing and graduation)
• You have completed your probationary period 
• You role model the Healthscope Safe Values
• You have an active Performance and Development Plan that targets ongoing leadership development

Applications are open Tuesday 30 January until Monday 19 February. 

You can apply by clicking on the 'Apply Now' tab at the top of this page and select the relevant program from the drop down menu. Please note that places in the programs are limited, and you will be notified mid-April if your application was successful.

We are offering three Ignite Your Leadership programs in 2024, one face-to-face in Melbourne, one face-to-face in Sydney and one virtual program. You will need to discuss your interest in this program with your manager before submitting your application.
