Amplify Your Leadership

Amplify Your Leadership (AYL) is Healthscope's leadership development program for managers. The first Healthscope Leadership Academy program, launched in 2021. In 2025, the program will be returning with four cohorts with a blended virtual and in-person learning experience.   

Amplify Your Leadership has been specifically developed to support managers across Healthscope, both those who work directly or indirectly in care. Managers are defined as those having full management responsibility and have employees reporting into them on a full-time basis. Examples of managers include: NUM, MUM, Manager, Allied Health managers, Support Services Managers, Health Information Manager, Front of House Manager, Theatre Manager and Angio Managers.

Amplify your Leadership provides managers across Healthscope with an exciting opportunity to grow as a leader. The program is a learning journey that is experienced over a 5month period, and will further enable managers to build and lead high performing and safe teams.

Entry requirements

This program has been developed to support managers, both clinical and non-clinical. In order to apply for the program, you must meet the below criteria:

• You are a manager with employees reporting to you on a full-time basis
• You are willing and able to fulfil all program requirements across a 5 month period and are committing to 100% attendance to the formal aspects of the program (all workshops, participant briefing, project briefing and graduation)
• You have completed your probationary period 
• You role model the Healthscope Safe Values
• You have an active Performance and Development Plan that targets ongoing leadership development

Applications open Monday 2 June and close Friday 13 June. You can apply by clicking on the 'Apply Now' tab at the top of this page and select the relevant program from the drop down menu. Please note that places in the programs are limited, and you will be notified early July if your application was successful.

This program is delivered with a blend of in-peron and virtual workshops, with in-person events held in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. If you are based outside of Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane, travel will be required, so please discuss this with your manager first. All travel costs including flights and accommodation will need to be covered by your hospital or business function.
